Wight’s has a whole room full of nativity figurines from life-sized to miniatures, made of resin, ceramic, terra cotta or metal in a variety of finishes and colors. Some of the brands are: Fontanini, Jim Shore, Williraye Studio and Appletree (these are white ceramic and light up). They are a perfect gift for children or adults.
One of the favorite nativity collections is Fontanini. These resin figures are exquisitely carved and hand painted (using safe, non-lead based paint) in a small Italian village called Bagni di Lucca located in Tuscany.
You may want to start with a few pieces and increase your display with new pieces to your nativity scene year after year. Many families have a tradition of displaying their nativity scene without baby Jesus only to have him placed in the manger Christmas morning.
