Lawn Care Tips
Fall Lawn Overseeding:
It is important to encourage a lush, blend of cultivated grasses in your turf. Otherwise, weed and weedy grass seed will fill-in thin areas.
Autumn is the perfect time to overseed your lawn because the soil temperature is still warm enough for the seed to germinate and the rains return to keep the seed and seedlings from drying out and dying. Also, if your lawn thickens up over the fall and winter it will shade out the annual, spring-germinating weed seeds.
Mid-September (up to mid-October) is your best, fall window of opportunity.
TIPS
Treat for crane fly grubs in early spring (MARCH) and fall (SEPTEMBER) to keep lawn healthy.
